CEVs

Emission Norms for diesel driven Construction Equipment Vehicles was introduced in 2000 and further revised and notified vide GSR 276 (E), dated 10th April, 2007 effective from 1st April, 2007.

The weighted average Mass of Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbon (HC) and Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), and Particulate Matters (PM) in grams per kilo Watt hour emitted during the test shall not exceed the limits given below in the graph for Type Approval (TA) and Conformity of Production (COP) tests.

The emission of the visible pollutants shall not exceed the limit values of 3.25 when tested on engine dynamometer at 80 % load at six equally spaced speeds.

Driving Cycle: ISO 8178 Part 4 (1996), “C1” 8 Mode Cycle for variable engine and ISO 8178 Part 4 (1996), “D2” 5 Mode Cycle for constant speed engines.
